    Musical Creativity

    Friday, September 21, 2007, 08:37 PM [Philosophy]

When referring to a stream of consciousness with regards to musical creativity and/or composition, I am describing an intrinsically creative process causing a paradigm shift from a pragmatic musical tonality to the nonlinear demarcation of musical contingencies inherent with in the structure of an inflectional tonal system. You can choose to disregard the mathematical relationship that connects logic with its antithesis. However, regardless of the initial separation between logic and intuition there is a common ground where both processes find symmetry. On this level intuition is a fusion between imagination and the ability to reason in order to solve for an enigmatic output.

    Children of the Phoenix

    Friday, September 21, 2007, 08:18 PM [Poetry]

    Receding at the edge,
    of a long winters grace.
    Poised in the shadows,
    of our restless slumber.
    Awakening from the smoldering embers,
towards the ancient paths of our ancestors.
We are the children of the Phoenix.
Throttling through the illusive holding patterns,
    that galvanize our fears.
    Stretching across the Aquarian sky,
with an unfounded potential for multiplicity.
Breaching the hull of the superposition,
on the crest of a collapsing wave function.
    A boundless causality approaching,
    the ethereal landscape of infinity.

    Witch

    Friday, September 21, 2007, 08:13 PM [Poetry]

Her often sanctioned stature sketches the distance
    between Heaven and Earth.
    Replacing the nature of consequence
with the arch of an open handed gesture.
    She is among the living,
yet totally divested from the coil of its endless contingencies.
    A disconnect woven through
the tangled symmetry of life where cause and effect dance
uncontrollably in the finite spaces of a discerning belief in natural order.
Bringing to the circle the transient incantation of a residually spiritual consciousness.

    Ancient Rhythms of Life

    Friday, September 21, 2007, 08:03 PM [Poetry]

There is disorder within the symmetry,
of our ascension towards the meridian.
    Ordinance underneath the shadows,
of all paths we must walk.
    And a mindfulness to embrace,
    neither the beginning or end.
    Juxtaposing the complex rhythms,
    between birth and death.
    Lying dormant in the darkness,
    of its own antiquity.
    Chaos brings inertia,
to the static entropy of life.
    Casting shadows across,
the shallow reflecting pools of time and space.

Bright Blessings from the path of a nomadic shaman

    Sunday, September 9, 2007, 01:19 AM [General]

I was raised in a Jewish household, but I was born with the spirit of a Witch.I’m not very far along in my studies, but somehow it feels like I’ve come home.My mom died a year ago of cancer. Seeing her slowly waste away and watching her take her last breath changed the way I looked at the world forever. Kind of a strange comfortable numbness and a much greater capacity for accepting
the possibility that reality is usually stranger than fiction. I can’t walk into a synagogue and feel like I do when I open the door of a metaphysical bookshop and have the smell of incense wafting up my nose. When I was a child I always had this sense of adventure and bewilderment when my uncle Jerry took me to the Smithsonian. When I’m surrounded by crystals, athames, and books about Magick and Spellcraft those same energies which visited me as a child come calling again with an even stronger sense of wonder and curiosity.
